FirstCut - Lights, Camera, Freedom! - All India Festival of Student Films Welcome to FirstCut, an all India festival of student films organized by Foundation for Liberal and Management Education (FLAME) to provide an active platform to young filmmakers in the country and encourage them to explore the medium of film as a reflection of the society they inhabit as well as a potential agent of change. If you believe you have the passion and talent to make your film that offers a fresh outlook on the world then FirstCut is your destination. FirstCut offers a platform to showcase your talent in fiction and well as documentary film-making. And there’s the unique ‘Nano Film’ category that will challenge your creativity in making super-short films. FirstCut believes that freedom is essential for any creative work and hence participants have the complete freedom to choose their themes and style of work! The best works shall be screened during the Festival at FLAME for an eminent panel from the film industry & a live audience. Winners shall be awarded cash prizes, certificates and trophies in each Category. All short-listed contestants will also get a travel subsidy to travel to Pune and hospitality by fellow-student. If you wish to support this Festival as a non-contestant, you are welcome as a Delegate! There is no entry fee.
