Cultural Events Voice of Astral Date: 26/02/2015 Time: 11:30 AM Description: The Musical event hosted by the Department of Computer Science to find the talents in the field of Music from different Colleges. The event will have three rounds from which the winner is declared. The first price is Rs. 11,111. Rules and Regulations 1. There will be total of 3 rounds (melody, semi-classical & fast song respectively). 2. Participants should bring karaoke for all 3 rounds in a pen drive & CD. 3. Decision of the Judge will be final. 4. A registration fee of Rs.100 will be taken from each participants. 5. Spot registration will be on 26/02/2015 till 10:00 am. 6. Total price money is Rs.11111. ⦁ Rock band Date: 26/02/2015 Time: 2:30 PM Description: Rock Band is a contest in which many bands, usually rock, but often musical acts from a range of different styles, compete for the title of "best band". The winner is determined by a panel of judges, the general response of the audience, or a combination. The winning bands receives total prize worth 40K. First Prize : 25,000 Second Price : 15,000 Rules and Regulations: .9:00am to 12:00pm. . Id cards are compulsory. .There should be a minimum of 5 members in each team. .Teams must bring all required equipment (drums will be provided). .Mixed bands are allowed. .Max participants: 4 to 10/team. .All registrations must be made on or before 26th February. . Proper decorum should be maintained during the event. . Time limit 15 minutes +10 minutes setting time. .Registration 300/Team. .All teams are responsible for their belongings. . Any damage to stage equipment will be fined from the participants. .Use of usb ,sd cards are strictly prohibited. .Teams must report the college at 8:30am. .Minimum of 5 teams must be present, if not the prize money will be reduced. ⦁ Danzon Date: 27/02/2015 Time: 10:30 AM Description: Danzon is the dance competition conducted as part of ASTRAL. It’s one of the crowd pulling events of the entire fest. It’s a team event each team having a minimum of six dancers and a maximum of fifteen. There'll be two rounds, first round is where the teams perform on their own accord, music etc., the second round is “Replica” where two members from each team give a synchronized performance. First Prize : 30,000 Second Price : 15,000 Rules and Regulations: #The competition will be held in 2rounds. 1) Each team is expected to prepare a choreo video of their choice which is mandatory for the competition 2) Spot choreo round where a member in the team will be given 3 minutes to perform. # The maximum time allotted for the team is 20 minutes # The use of sharp objects fire and inflammable materials are prohibited to the performance           #Any sort of socially provocative themes will lead to the disqualification of performance             #All team members should carry their own identity card from their own college during registration before the event. Non possession of id cards by any team member will automatically lead to his/her disqualification in the competition    #Each team should  confirm their registration along with the team members at least one hour before the event. ⦁ Mr. &Ms. Astral Date: 28/02/2015 Time: 10:00 AM Description: One of the promising cultural event put forward by the ECE department. Individual talent will be showcased in this event. Event will check one's performing ability in every field. Spot tasks will be given to the participants. These tasks bring out their skill and attention. At the finals a Male and a Female candidate will be selected as the winners. Prizes worth 20,000 bucks. Rules and Regulations: ⦁ Participation can be from both technical and non-technical colleges. ⦁ Participants must report by 1:15 PM. ⦁ Participants must bring college ID for verification. ⦁ Final decisions lies with the committee. ⦁ Registration fee of 150 Rs will be charged.
