You cannot get there by bus, only by hard work, risking and by not quite knowing what you are doing. What you will discover will be wonderful; yourself. Events
PAPER PRESENTATION:
EVENT FORMAT:
Round 1:
1. Abstract must be send to (Mail ID), along with title.
2. Details required:
• Name
• College & Department
• Contact number
• Mail ID
3. Last date for submission of paper is August 18th 2014.
4. If the abstract has been selected an acknowledgement will be sent to the mail id the participant mentioned earlier in abstract.
Round 2:
On the day of event (i.e. on final round) participants shall present their paper in front of judges through PowerPoint.
Rules:
1. Maximum of 2 authors per paper.
2. Paper should be in the format specified below:
Title: 14 Times New Roman, Bold, Center Author & College Name: 12 Times New Roman Content: 12 Times New Roman (include pictures if necessary)
3. Abstract should not exceed 500 words.
4. Presentation time will be 8mins + 2mins query.
MACHINIST:
EVENT FORMAT:
Round 1:
A test on objective type questions related to mechanical engineering.
Round 2:
Selected teams will be allowed to machine the job provided.
Rules:
1. Maximum 2 per team.
2. The qualifying teams will be given a 2D drawing (first angle projection) of the machined component. 10min will be given to each team to think over, on how to machine the component.
3. Required work piece, tools and machines will be provided.
4. Each team will be given 1hour to finish the job.
5. Results will be announced based on accuracy and time taken.
WATER ROCKETRY:
EVENT FORMAT:
Round
1. Only one round will be conducted.
2. Spot registration.
3. Evaluation will be based on projectile, deviation and distance.
Rules:
1. Maximum of 2 per team.
2. Pressure up to 60 psi is allowed.
3. Both single and multistage rockets are welcome.
4. Launch pad, nozzle and pump/compressor will be provided.
5. Chemicals like salt, soda are not allowed
6. Judges decision will be final and shall not be questioned
PRO-MODELING:
EVENT FORMAT:
Round 1:objective type questions related to Pro E.
Round 2:3D assembly using Pro Engineer Wildfire 5.0
Rules:
1. Maximum 2 per team.
2. Results will be announced based on time and performance.
GLIDER:
EVENT FORMAT:
Round 1:
1.Our team asses the model and the one which agrees all the rules specified only will be qualified for next round.
2.Design aspects are also considered while evaluating.
Round 2:
1.An aircraft with or without using propeller is to be designed.
2.The time of flight and distance covered is measured.
3.Three trials will be given of which best is considered
Rules:
1.Only maximum of 3 members per team.
2.Permitted materials:
•Cardboard
•Paper
•Plastic
•Wood
•Foam
3.The model should be propelled only through rubber.
4.Maximum wing span: 40cm.
5.No electronic components should be used.
6.Weather conditions should not be blamed.
7.Judges decision will be final.
TECHNICAL QUIZ:

Round 1:
1.A test consisting of objective type questions will be conducted.
2.Question will be asked related to Mechanical engineering fields.
3.Those who scores top will qualify for the next round (i.e. final round)
Round 2:Rapid fire round will be conducted for selected teams.
Rules:
1. Maximum 2 per team.
2. No Electronic gadgets like mobile phone are allowed to use during both the rounds.
